Thuy Diep is what you would call a phoenix, the mythological bird that rises from the ashes. Coming from a family of tailors, Diep studied at Parsons but went on to working at Price Waterhouse but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Diep recently launched her Fall 2008. I love when a designer simply states that their inspiration is just making clothes that they'll want to wear. Her collection pays close attention to a lot of detail and draping with playing with color, texture, volume and proportions.

I like.
